These air fryer Shishito Peppers are not only easy to make but also totally irresistible. These delicious finger food are vegan, keto, & a perfect snack for any time of the day. Taste great with a sprinkle of salt & lemon juice.

These shishito peppers taste great when a little charred. I earlier thought these Shishito Peppers are spicy in taste, so I never thought of trying them. But my husband accidentally got them from Trader Joe's. And after trying them, I was totally addicted to these finger food.

I just love making them quite often when it's hot outside with a big glass of wine. I love them a little charred & love them grill or roast them. They taste great, either sweet or savory with dipping sauce (like aioli, soy sauce, or ranch).

Some other Air Fryer Recipes: Air Fried Asparagus, Brussel Sprouts, Air Fried Baked Potato, Paneer Tikka, Caribbean Jerk Veggies, and Buffalo Cauliflower Tacos.

You can grill & roast on the stove, but I like the air fryer version. The Air Fryer version is so easy & these peppers can be made in under 10 minutes. These blistered Shishito Peppers are a little sweet, and they go great with some lemon juice & a sprinkle of salt.

This is one of the quickest snacks ever & not to mention healthy with hardly any oil. And the golden ticket is when you get the spicy one. These shishito peppers are not usually spicy, but they say 1 out of 10 comes off to be spicy. Though I never had a chance to eat the spicy one. Most of these pepper is sweet in flavor with a thin skin & gorgeous green in color.

You can make it with just with some salt & lemon juice. Or you can add some extra flavoring like Za'atar Seasoning, Garlic Powder, etc., to elevate the flavors even more. Either way, they are just too perfect & addictive, just like roasted potatoes.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Shishito Peppers: This is the main ingredient for the recipe. You can find these gorgeous green beauties in any store. I got them from Trader Joe's. They are sweet in flavor & has a thin skin.
  2. Oil/ Butter: You can add some oil or butter to the peppers before frying, for a much crispier texture. Though you can also skip the oil for a more healthier option.
  3. Seasoning: They tastes great with just salt & lemon juice. Just you can still add different flavotings like Za'tar, Garlic Powder, Cayenne Peppers, Garam Masala, etc.
  4. Lemon Juice: I like a little tangy flavor to my air fried shishito peppers. You can mix shishito peppers with some lemon juice or garnish with some lemon zest.
  5. Dipping Sauce: I like shishito peppers with soem Eggless Ranch that I have made with some Greek Yogurt, Dill, Garlic Powder, and Lemon juice. But they goes perfectly with Aioli, Soy Sauce, and any other herbed Dipping Sauce.

TIPS TO REMEMBER

  1. Add some oil/ butter for more crispier texture to the peppers. If you don't want to add too much oil or butter, then just use cooking spray.
  2. When air frying, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, you can work in batches.
  3. Add some kosher salt on the pepeprs, as tastes much better with some lemon juice.
  4. Serve with Aioli, Soy Sauce, or Greek Yogurt Ranch.
