Ingredients

  • 2 cups Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Chocolate Mousse
  • ½ Fresh Berries strawberries, blueberries

Avocado Chocolate Mousse:

  • 1 big Avocado
  • ¼ cup Chocolate Chips melted
  • ¼ cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 dash Vanilla Extract
  • 2-3 tablespoon Milk or Vegan Milk
  • ½ cup Powdered Sugar (or as needed)

Instructions

HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE CUPS

  • Instant Pot: Pour some water into Instant Pot and press saute. When the water starts to boil then place the trivet & a bowl over the trivet. Add chocolate chips in the bowl & keep stirring in between until chocolate melts.
Microwave: Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1-2 minutes or until chocolate melts (keep checking in between to avoid overheating).
  • Line parchment paper over a baking sheet. And make 4-6 dollops of chocolate on it using a spoon or an icing bag.
  • Blow the balloons till they are 1-2 diameter in size. Wash and dry them using a paper towel. Then spray some cooking oil on the balloons evenly.
  • Then dip each balloon in the melted chocolate bowl until it is properly coated. Put the balloons on top of the dollops of chocolate on the baking sheet.
  • Chill the prepared cups in the fridge for 2-3 hours or until they are molded in shape. Take the tray out of the fridge & pop the balloons using a knife or scissors. Remove the balloons from the cups carefully without breaking the cups.

HOW TO MAKE AVOCADO CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

  • Using a hand blender or stand mixer, first whisk the avocado until it is smooth & creamy. Then add leftover chocolate from the chocolate cups along with some cocoa powder, vanilla extract, milk, and sugar. Whisk all the ingredients until well combined and smooth.

SERVING:

  • Once the chocolate cups are chilled, remove them from the baking sheet. Add chocolate mousse in the individual cups and garnish with some chopped berries. You can also sprinkle some powdered sugar or cinnamon powder and serve. Make sure the cups are chilled before serving.

Notes

  • You can melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or in the Instant Pot.
  • I have used semi-sweet chocolate chips. They work great for the recipe. You can also use white chocolate chips.
  • You can use water balloons or regular balloons. If you're using a regular balloon then blow till it is around 1-2 diameter in size.
  • Before putting chocolate on the balloons, don't forget to spray some cooking oil. That way when you pop the balloon, you can easily remove the balloon from the chocolate.
  • Chill the cups for 2-3 hours. If cups are not chilled enough then you might leave fingerprints on them.
  • Add the mousse in cups before serving and garnish with berries.
