Instant Pot Yogurt is easy to make recipe that gives you creamy and healthy yogurt without any hassle. To make delicious Yogurt in an Instant Pot, all you need is Milk and Yogurt Starter.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ gallon Milk
  • 2-3 tablespoon prepared Yogurt/ Yogurt Starter

HOT METHOD

  • Add Milk to the inner pot of Instant pot and press the yogurt button until the screen displays 'BOIL'.
    (Note: You may need to press 1 or 2 times for screen to display Boil).
  • Once timer beeps and milk is boiled, remove the lid and carefully remove the inner pot. Allow the milk to cool down till the temperature reaches 115°F or for at least 1 hour.
  • Gently skim off the skin from the top. Whisk Yogurt starter in the milk.
  • Place the inner pot in the Instant Pot and press the Yogurt button and adjust the timer for 8-10 hours. Pressure level should be set at normal. If
  • Once the timer ends and cycle completes, transfer & store the yogurt in mason jars or in a container and place it in the refrigerator.

COLD START METHOD

  • For this method, you need ultra-pasteurized Milk.
    (Note: I use Maple Hill Milk for the recipe. You can also use Fairlife Milk or any other ultra-pasteurized milk)
  • Add milk to the inner pot of Instant Pot and whisk Yogurt Starter to it till combined. Close lid and press the Yogurt button and set timer for 8-9 hours at normal pressure level.
  • Once the timer ends and cycle completes, transfer & store the yogurt in mason jars or in a container and place it in the refrigerator.

GREEK YOGURT

  • Once timer beeps and yogurt is done. Transfer the yogurt in Greek Yogurt Maker, and leave it in the refrigerator overnight or for about 6-8 hours.
  • Once the whey is separated from yogurt, transfer the yogurt in mason jars or in a container.

Notes

You can make Yogurt with pasteurized milk using Hot Method.
You can make Yogurt with ultra-pasteurized milk using Cold Method.
You can make Yogurt in Instant Pot using Whole Milk, or 2%, or 1%, or Fat-Free milk.
Once the timer beeps, place some coffee filters or paper towel over the yogurt and store in the refrigerator. Remove coffee filter & paper towel after 4-6 hours, as they will absorb all the whey.
When making Yogurt using the hot Method, once milk is boiled leave it for 1 hour or let the milk cool down till temperature reaches 107- 114 degrees.
You can also add any seasoning or flavorings to the Yogurt.
